# `include`

Renders a snippet, the same as [`render`](/themes/tags/render), with the same parameters.

The snippet name can also come from a variable:

```liquid
{% assign card = 'product-card' %}
{% include card, product: product %}
```

Use `render` in new themes. `include` is there for themes that come from other platforms.
