Command reference
All commands run from your app's directory. Commands that read the app config accept --config <env> (-c) to use youcan.app.<env>.json instead of youcan.app.json, see linked configs.
Development
| Command | Description |
|---|---|
youcan app dev | Run the app in dev mode: tunnel, dev store subscriptions, and live extension sync. --no-tunnel uses localhost directly. |
youcan app install | Open the installation page for your dev store. |
youcan app generate extension | Scaffold a new extension. |
Deployment
| Command | Description |
|---|---|
youcan app deploy | Validate, create a version, and release it to every installed store. --message (-m) describes the version, --version names it, --no-release creates it without releasing, --force (-f) skips the safety prompts. |
youcan app versions | List the app's versions and mark the active one. |
youcan app release --version <v> | Release a specific version by number or name, including an older one, to roll back. |

youcan app config pull | Update the config file from the active released version. |
youcan app env show | Print the app's environment variables, including its API credentials. |
